love through images.

One of the reasons I love my job as a photographer is that I love evoking emotion through images. Whether that’s love, joy, or even sorrow - it’s the best feeling when a person tells you your images make them feel something.

Earlier this year, I was fortunate enough to capture a cozy, intimate in-home session with N & V. In the weeks before their shoot, we spent some time talking about the things they enjoyed doing together in their space. I asked them to think of an ideal Sunday afternoon at home, what does that look like to you both? From enjoying coffees to video games to pillow fights, we incorporated them all into their session.

In my opinion, it’s important to capture the little moments in life, the everyday ones like coffee and morning hugs. I think these are the moments that often get taken for granted, so to take a moment to press pause on them is really something beautiful and raw. This is one of the reasons why I love in-home sessions. I feel like there’s something about being in a comforting space that really allows you to be vulnerable and truly just be.

N & V were floored when I sent them their album: “We’re literally crying because we love them [the images] all. They are so beautiful. We feel so much warmth, happiness, and love when viewing our album. ” And that right there - is why I love being a lifestyle photographer so much.

When looking back at some of the moments from this album, I feel so much love. N & V are two beautiful individuals who share a really incredible kind of love that I feel like I was able to capture.
